Bad Bunny Leads Nominations at 2025 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas

The 2025 Latin Grammy Awards are set to take place on March 15, 2025, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, marking a return to Sin City after last year’s 25th anniversary celebration in Miami. This year’s event promises to be vibrant, showcasing the best in Latin music as it honors both established and emerging artists.

Leading the nominations is Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, who has received an impressive total of 12 nominations. This achievement dethrones producer and songwriter Édgar Barrera, who had dominated the previous two years with 13 and 9 nominations, respectively. Barrera is now tied with Argentinian hip-hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, both of whom garnered 10 nominations this year.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on TelevisaUnivision’s U.S. platforms, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern. An hour-long pre-show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Eastern. Additionally, the Associated Press will host a livestream of the Latin Grammys red carpet, starting at 5 p.m. Eastern, which will be available on YouTube and APNews.

This year’s ceremony will introduce new categories, including “Music for Visual Media,” which recognizes original music for movies, TV shows, video games, and other visual formats. To qualify, projects must feature Latin rhythms or be composed by individuals of Ibero-American descent. Another new category, “Roots Song,” will honor songwriters of new, unpublished recordings that reflect the traditions of various communities, particularly those of Hispanic American origin, in languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Indigenous dialects.

Performers at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards will include a diverse lineup of artists such as Bad Bunny, Karol G, Marco Antonio Solís, and Gloria Estefan. Notably, the Latin Grammy’s 2025 Person of the Year award will be presented to Raphael, joining the ranks of past honorees including Carlos Vives and Juanes.
