Big Brothers Big Sisters Langley Hosts Fundraising Event on October 18
Supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters Langley will gather for a fundraising event called The Big Social on October 18, 2023, at The Koop Studio located at 23921 68 Ave, Langley, British Columbia. This year’s fundraising goal is set at $25,000, aimed at supporting the organization’s mentorship programs for young people.
The event will commence with two hours of tastings featuring wine, beer, and spirits. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in games such as cornhole, point pong, and pool, alongside various vendors and a photo booth. The evening will be enlivened by performances from Whiskey Blind, a local country-rock band known for its appearances at events like RibFest Langley and the Calgary Stampede.
Two levels of tickets are available for purchase online. Standard tickets are priced at $85, which includes tokens for drink tastings and a voucher for food from onsite food trucks. For $125, VIP tickets offer early access at 17:00 instead of the regular 18:00 admission, a swag bag, premium parking, and additional perks.
All proceeds from The Big Social will directly fund the one-to-one and group mentorship programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters Langley. As a non-profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters relies heavily on donations and fundraising activities to sustain its vital support for youth in the community. This event not only aims to raise funds but also seeks to foster a sense of community among attendees, highlighting the importance of mentorship in shaping the lives of young individuals.
