Brad Paisley Delivers Energetic Nostalgia in Winnipeg Concert
Brad Paisley captivated fans in Winnipeg on November 14, 2025, with a lively concert that showcased a mix of classic hits and playful moments. Performing at the Canada Life Centre, the renowned country music artist drew a crowd of approximately 6,500 attendees, many of whom were dressed in jerseys representing local football teams as part of the Grey Cup Festival celebrations.
As the concert commenced slightly behind schedule, Paisley, 53, appeared on stage wearing his signature white cowboy hat and wielding his blue Telecaster guitar. He kicked off the show with the title track from his most recent tour, accompanied by visuals of vintage Chevrolet trucks displayed on a large screen. This latest single serves as a narrative sequel to his acclaimed hit, “I Love This Bar,” which first topped the charts over two decades ago.
Nostalgia permeated the evening, with Paisley revisiting themes of love and country life through his well-known catalogue. Despite not having released a full-length country album since 2017, he presented a blend of fan-favourite tracks and a few newer songs, including a recent release from a holiday album that debuted just a week prior to the concert.
Fans were treated to a festive moment mid-show when Paisley performed a Christmas classic, much to the delight of the audience. In a heartwarming gesture, a young concertgoer named William received one of Paisley’s guitars as a gift, with instructions to learn to play it.
Concert Highlights and Audience Engagement
The stage production was engaging yet simple, featuring vibrant lighting and a combination of animated and live video projections. Accompanied by a seven-piece band, Paisley delivered an energetic performance that included hits such as “Mud on the Tires” and “Whiskey Lullaby.”
One of the standout moments involved a whimsical interaction with a fan, where Paisley humorously scrolled through her Instagram feed after borrowing her phone. The show maintained a light-hearted atmosphere, highlighted by a medley that included playful elements such as a mascot with an oversized cowboy hat and a video of a water-skiing squirrel.
While the setlist may have lacked new material, the crowd’s enthusiasm remained high. Concertgoers embraced the opportunity to relive Paisley’s classic songs, proving that sometimes, the old favourites are more than enough to keep the audience engaged.
Opening Acts and Overall Atmosphere
The concert began with performances by Meghan Patrick and Jackson Dean. Patrick, who hails from Ontario and is now based in Nashville, infused her set with lively energy, performing original songs and interacting with the audience. She later joined Paisley on stage for a duet that further ignited the crowd’s excitement.
Jackson Dean followed with his rich baritone voice, delivering a blend of powerful ballads and more reflective songs, setting the stage for Paisley’s dynamic performance. The evening concluded with Paisley’s rendition of “Alcohol,” a fitting end to a night filled with laughter, music, and shared memories.
This concert reflects not only Brad Paisley’s enduring popularity but also the communal spirit of live music, where both artist and audience come together to celebrate the joys of country music. As Paisley continues to tour, fans can expect more opportunities to experience the magic of his performances.
