A vibrant new exhibit titled “Mirth and Mindfulness” will debut at Casa Gallery in November, showcasing a diverse array of art that explores the intersection of nature and the human experience. The exhibition opens on November 8, 2023, and will run until January 9, 2026, offering visitors a unique audiovisual experience that combines various crafts.
The exhibit will feature an impressive collection of works, including sculptures, photography, printmaking, and textiles. Each piece serves to highlight the intricate relationships between creativity, landscape, and the living world. Casa Gallery describes the exhibit as a journey, stating, “From the microscopic beauty of porcelain blossoms to the vast expanse of the night sky, the new exhibitions at Casa celebrate the intricate relationships between creativity, landscape, and the living world.”
Featured Installations and Events
Among the highlights of the exhibition is “Flowers,” an installation of porcelain blossoms created by Lethbridge-based artist Catherine Ross. This installation promises to captivate audiences with its delicate craftsmanship and thought-provoking themes.
In addition to the main exhibition, Casa Gallery will host two one-night exhibits during the opening reception on November 8, from 19:00 to 21:00. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to engage with artists and explore the creative processes behind the showcased works. Admission to the gallery is free, making it accessible for visitors of all ages to experience this artistic celebration.
The combination of established and emerging artists featured in “Mirth and Mindfulness” aims to foster a deeper understanding of how art reflects and interacts with the natural world. The gallery invites everyone to join in this exploration of creativity and mindfulness through art.
Casa Gallery continues to be a pivotal cultural hub, encouraging community engagement and artistic expression. The upcoming exhibition is poised to attract art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike, offering a platform for dialogue about the role of art in our relationship with nature.
