Chelsea Handler Embraces Recreational Drugs, Shares Personal Views
Chelsea Handler, the well-known comedian and host, has openly expressed her fondness for recreational drugs, describing her experiences as life-enhancing. During a recent episode of the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat, Handler, 50, discussed her relationship with substances like LSD and MDMA, emphasizing that they have positively impacted her life as she has aged.
Handler stated, “I love all drugs. I love drugs. I love LSD. I love MDMA.” While she admitted to trying cocaine and heroin in the past, she clarified that those substances do not appeal to her. She explained, “I think they’re a great mind expander, and they’re not for everybody, but they’re for me.” Handler believes that the current availability of drugs in microdoses makes them safer and more accessible, allowing users to enjoy their benefits without overwhelming effects.
In her candid remarks, Handler also addressed her social circle, making it clear that she prefers to spend time with those who share her enthusiasm for partying. “If I’m gonna date a guy, they’re gonna have to party. I wanna party. I like to get loose,” she said. This perspective underscores her belief that recreational substances contribute to her enjoyment of life.
Handler’s Dating Life and Relationship Reflections
The comedian recently revealed that she is seeing someone new, though she withheld further details about her current partner. Handler has a history of high-profile relationships, including those with rapper-producer 50 Cent, businessman Andre Balazs, and fellow comedian Jo Koy. Her relationship with Koy, which lasted about a year, ended in July 2022. Handler announced their split on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the love they shared and acknowledging that he had a profound impact on her life.
Reflecting on her breakup with Koy, Handler explained her decision to end the relationship on Brooke Shields’ podcast, Now What? She mentioned “some behaviours that we couldn’t agree on” and emphasized her unwillingness to change her own identity for the sake of the relationship. “I was not going to abandon myself,” she stated, highlighting her commitment to personal integrity.
Handler’s statements not only shed light on her views about recreational drug use but also offer insights into her personal values surrounding relationships. As she continues to navigate her career and personal life, Handler remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, known for her boldness and authenticity.
In a world where discussions about drug use and personal boundaries are increasingly common, Handler’s candidness invites both support and criticism. Regardless, her approach to life reflects a desire for authenticity and enjoyment, resonating with many of her fans.
