Corn Maze Celebrates Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Engagement

At Johnson Farms in Belton, Missouri, a festive corn maze pays tribute to the recent engagement of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. The attraction invites visitors to become part of a Kansas City love story, creatively designed by Precision Mazes. The maze features a representation of the couple’s famous Instagram engagement photo, incorporating their jersey numbers, 87 and 13, along with the phrase “Kansas City is Enchanted.”

The inspiration for the maze came swiftly to Rob Stouffer, owner of Precision Mazes. Upon seeing the engagement announcement on ESPN, he reached out to Johnson Farms with excitement. “I just sent a text that said, ‘I have an idea,’” Stouffer recalled. “This might be a good one.”

For Jim Johnson, manager of Johnson Farms, celebrating the couple was an obvious choice. “It’s a great story and a great thing that’s playing out right in front of us,” he said. “Why wouldn’t you want to do that?” Johnson expressed gratitude for the positive energy that Swift and Kelce have brought to the Kansas City area.

Creating the maze took considerable effort. Stouffer spent nine hours transforming nine acres of land into a whimsical tribute. “I got one shot, friend,” he jokingly remarked. “Once you knock this corn down, you can’t put it back up.” Fortunately, the design emerged successfully.

Stouffer emphasized the joy of storytelling through the maze, particularly in a world often filled with challenges. “There’s a lot of tragedy and sadness in our broken world. This is not one of those examples. This is an opportunity to celebrate the marriage of a couple,” he noted.

Visitors to the corn maze may find themselves caught up in the romance of the moment. “I hope that there’s some first dates that happen out here in the corn maze that do end in marriage,” Stouffer added, reflecting on the maze’s potential for fostering connections.
