Dallas Smith to Headline 2025 CCMA Awards in Kelowna

The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) has announced that renowned artist Dallas Smith will take the stage at the 43rd annual CCMA Awards, set for September 13, 2025, at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia. Smith, a three-time CCMA Entertainer of the Year and two-time Juno Award winner, will perform alongside a lineup of talented artists.

This year’s awards night marks a significant occasion as it will be held in Kelowna for the first time. The host for the evening will be comedian and actor Tom Green, who emphasized the celebration of talent and collaboration within Canada’s vibrant country music scene.

Joining Smith on stage will be Alexandra Kay, known for her Billboard-charting hits and her entrepreneurial venture, The Coffee Girl. The two recently collaborated on the single “How Do You Miss Me,” which has gained popularity on the charts. Other performers include Madeline Merlo, a platinum-certified songwriter, and Tyler Joe Miller, who has received multiple nominations from both the Juno and CCMA Awards.

The roster also features Sacha, a CCMA Award winner known for breaking new ground in country music, and Restless Road, a two-time ACM Award nominated group that has made waves in the industry. The Nashville-based duo Thelma & James and rising star Cameron Whitcomb will also contribute to the evening’s entertainment, showcasing their unique harmonies and songwriting talents.

Dallas Smith’s history with the CCMA Awards extends beyond his performance; he co-hosted the event in 2019 alongside Billy Ray Cyrus in Calgary. Over his successful career, which includes his beginnings as the frontman of the platinum-selling rock band Default, Smith has achieved significant recognition. He has released 21 gold-certified singles, nine platinum-certified singles, and four gold-certified albums, amassing over 640 million global streams and more than two million album equivalents to date.

As the summer progresses, Smith is actively participating in major festivals across Canada, including the Calgary Stampede and Country Thunder in Saskatchewan, which took place earlier this month.

Country Music Week 2025, beginning on September 10, will transform Kelowna into a hub of celebration, culminating in the awards night on September 13. The entire ceremony will be broadcast live on CTV, allowing fans across the country to join in this celebration of country music excellence.
