GIVĒON Delivers Soulful Performance in Vancouver’s Thunderbird Centre
On October 2, 2025, American R&B singer-songwriter GIVĒON captivated audiences at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver during his concert for “Dear Beloved, The Tour.” Over the course of 90 minutes, fans experienced an emotional journey as GIVĒON showcased his smooth vocals and heartfelt performances, leaving a lasting impression.
The concert celebrated his latest studio album, BELOVED, which was released earlier in the year. Fans enthusiastically joined in for both new songs and GIVĒON’s well-known classics, illustrating the deep connection he has cultivated with his audience. Known for his rich baritone and soulful ballads, GIVĒON, whose full name is Giveon Dezmann Evans, has quickly established himself as a leading voice in modern R&B, particularly following his breakout moments with Drake on “Chicago Freestyle” and his own hit, “Heartbreak Anniversary.”
Opening Acts Set the Stage
The night began with a dynamic performance by British R&B singer Sasha Keable, whose recent performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk has garnered attention for her powerful vocals. Following her set, the American R&B band Free Nationals, known as Anderson .Paak‘s backing band, energized the crowd with a tight and engaging performance.
As the clock struck 21:30, GIVĒON took to the stage, opening with the first track from BELOVED, “MUD.” He moved seamlessly through the set, performing new tracks such as “DON’T LEAVE,” “STRANGERS,” and “NUMB.” The evening reached an unforgettable moment when a fan was invited on stage, creating a unique experience as they shared a slow dance during “Garden Kisses,” a segment that highlighted the personal connection GIVĒON fosters with his audience.
This concert not only showcased GIVĒON‘s vocal prowess but also underscored his ability to create memorable experiences for his fans. With a combination of new material and beloved hits, he reaffirmed his status as one of today’s most distinctive voices in the R&B genre, leaving attendees eagerly awaiting his next move.
