Hisense Launches Impressive U7SG TV at $1,499 Price Point
Hisense has unveiled its first television for the 2026 lineup, introducing the U7 series with the U7SG model. Priced at $1,499 for the 65-inch version, this new offering has already generated excitement among consumers and tech enthusiasts alike. Early impressions highlight its impressive features, particularly the stunning picture quality and robust audio performance.
Outstanding Picture Quality
One of the standout attributes of the Hisense U7SG is its exceptional brightness, reaching a peak of approximately 3,000 nits. This capability ensures vibrant visuals even in well-lit environments, making it suitable for various viewing conditions. The model also incorporates an anti-glare layer, which enhances usability, although Hisense has not prominently featured this aspect in its announcements.
In addition to brightness, the U7SG supports an extensive range of viewing formats, including FILMAKER MODE, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Vision Gaming, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and IMAX Enhanced. Such comprehensive support positions the U7SG as a competitive flagship television that does not carry the typical flagship price.
Impressive Audio Experience
Hisense has also made significant strides in audio quality, rendering external soundbars nearly unnecessary for consumers. The U7SG is equipped with 60W of built-in audio and a 2.1.2 channel surround sound system. Users have reported being impressed by the sound quality, often opting not to connect additional audio devices.
The improved sound performance is particularly notable given the brand’s recent design shift toward thicker televisions, which has positively impacted acoustics. Consumers can enjoy loud and clear audio, with many reporting that a volume setting of just 15-20 is sufficient, even in larger spaces.
Value Proposition
Hisense emphasizes that the U7 series combines premium features with an accessible price point. The 65-inch U7SG retails for $1,499, while the smaller 55-inch model is available for $1,299. Although the pricing positions it higher than some competitors, many reviewers agree that the U7SG offers substantial value given its advanced features.
While further comprehensive assessments will be conducted following extended use, initial feedback suggests that the Hisense U7SG is a compelling choice for consumers looking for high-quality entertainment options without excessive costs.
