Leon Draisaitl Marries Celeste Desjardins in Lavish Ceremony

Edmonton Oilers star Leon Draisaitl married his longtime girlfriend Celeste Desjardins in a stunning ceremony over the weekend in the South of France. The couple’s celebration was marked by an atmosphere of joy and luxury, capturing the attention of fans and fellow players alike.
The wedding took place under clear blue skies, creating a picturesque backdrop as Draisaitl and Desjardins shared their vows. Guests included a host of NHL players, with Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, Evander Kane, and Sam Gagner among the attendees. Notably, McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, shared a heartfelt video on social media showing the couple’s first dance to “Take My Heart” by The Teskey Brothers.
Their wedding festivities extended beyond the ceremony, featuring an elaborate afterparty. Revelers enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere, complete with a DJ and a custom-made neon sign reading “Draisaitls.” Guests were treated to an energetic celebration that included bubble guns, adding to the fun.
Desjardins provided glimpses of the event through her social media, sharing multiple photos, including the couple’s first kiss and her elegant wedding dress. The event has been highly anticipated since Draisaitl proposed to Desjardins last summer on a beach in Spain.
Celebration Among NHL Stars
The wedding not only brought together family and friends but also showcased the camaraderie within the NHL community. Players like Troy Stecher, Ryan McLeod, and Mattias Janmark added to the star-studded guest list. The camaraderie among the players was evident, with Kane posting lively photos of the group enjoying the afterparty.
This weekend marked a significant moment not only for Draisaitl but also for other Oilers players. Kasperi Kapanen also celebrated his wedding, further enriching the joyful atmosphere surrounding the team.
As the celebrations wind down, attention now shifts back to the upcoming NHL season. Fans eagerly anticipate the start of training camp, which is set to begin in less than two months in Edmonton. The excitement continues to build as players return to the ice, ready to compete in another thrilling season.
