Maple Ridge Artist Judah Wardrope Launches Emotional New Single
A country music artist from Maple Ridge, **Judah Wardrope**, is set to release his new single, “On Your Radio,” on **March 4, 2024**. The single will debut on Country 106.7’s morning show at **7 a.m.**, marking a significant moment in Wardrope’s career. This new track follows his previous successes, including the summer anthem “Sundown” and the radio hit “If I Die Tomorrow.”
Wardrope describes “On Your Radio” as his first slow and emotional piece, reflecting on a past relationship that did not succeed. The song delves into the complexities of love, exploring the challenges and mistakes that ultimately led to its end. “So far in the public eye, I’ve been known as the guy with the mullet who sings catchy upbeat songs. I love it, but I also want to show there’s more to me than that. I’ve been through heartbreaks too, like everyone else,” he explained.
Career Highlights and Upcoming Tour
Born in Maple Ridge and raised in Saskatchewan, Wardrope returned to his hometown in the summer of **2024**. He has since signed on as an artist with the **BC Country Music Association (BCCMA)**. In the past year, he has performed at notable events such as the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair, as well as the Sunfest Country Music Festival. His efforts have not gone unnoticed; he was awarded Favourite Local Singer by The News in the A-List Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows.
Wardrope is gearing up for a tour across Canada alongside fellow BCCMA artist **Anita Hamilton** in April for “The Place To Be” tour. The initial shows are scheduled for **April 10 and 11** in **Lloydminster** and **Calgary**, Alberta, with additional dates in British Columbia to be announced soon via his social media platforms.
Connecting Through Music
With “On Your Radio,” Wardrope aims to resonate with anyone who has experienced heartbreak, conveying the message that they are not alone in their struggles. “Music is such a gift, and my goal as an artist is to have a mix of songs that bring people happiness, and some songs like this one that, while being a bit more sad and serious, help people relate to what they’re going through in life,” he stated.
The new single will be available on all major streaming platforms, including **Spotify** and **Apple Music**, on its release date. Fans will also have the opportunity to request the song at local country radio stations. For more information, visit Wardrope’s Facebook group.
Judah Wardrope continues to evolve as an artist, blending catchy tunes with deeper emotional narratives, solidifying his place in the Canadian country music scene.
