A Pekinese named Prince claimed the prestigious title of Best In Show at the Canadian Kennel Club’s National Championship Dog Show held over the weekend in Mississauga, Ontario. The event attracted considerable attention, showcasing a total of 814 dogs representing 135 breeds from across Canada.

The honour bestowed upon Prince came with a cash prize of $5,000, awarded to his owner, Cynthia Dyson from Wilsonville, Ontario. In addition to the Best In Show accolade, Prince also triumphed in the Toy division, further solidifying his status as a standout competitor.

Established in 1888, the Canadian Kennel Club serves as the primary registry body for purebred dogs in Canada and currently recognizes 187 breeds.
