Vancouver’s Harry Potter Experience Sets Ticket Sales Record
Interest in the Wizarding World remains robust as ticket sales for the Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience in Vancouver have exceeded previous records set in other cities. The immersive event, which opens on November 7, 2025, in Stanley Park, is generating unprecedented excitement, indicating a strong demand for themed entertainment based on the beloved series.
The upcoming attraction promises to deliver a unique experience that invites visitors into the enchanting world of Harry Potter. Designed as a nighttime trail, participants will navigate through a forest filled with magical creatures, spell-casting stations, and interactive surprises inspired by the books and films. It is a continuation of the franchise’s successful expansion, following the anticipated live-action television series from HBO, which aims to offer a faithful adaptation of the original novels.
A crucial element of the event’s appeal is its connection to the broader Harry Potter universe, which has captivated audiences for nearly 15 years. The franchise continues to thrive with productions like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a stage play that has garnered acclaim globally. The original London production has been running since 2016, and similar adaptations have found success in cities like Toronto and Melbourne.
The Vancouver edition of Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is particularly noteworthy. According to Annie-Lou St-Amant, regional manager of Fever Originals, the local interest has been remarkable. “We have seen the number of people signing up on the waitlist. As well, the pre-sales of tickets have been the biggest success we have had across all the markets we have been in,” she stated during a media preview. This enthusiasm reflects the strong Harry Potter community in Canada.
The event has originated from a collaboration between Fever Originals and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, aimed at making the Wizarding World accessible to a wider audience. First launched in Cheshire, England, in October 2021, this experience has since traveled to various locations, including cities in Australia, France, and the United States, with Vancouver being its first stop in Canada.
As part of the experience, visitors will walk along a 1.3-kilometre trail adorned with more than 1,500 lights, special effects, and themed props. Along the path, guests can expect to see iconic creatures from the series, such as unicorns and Hippogriffs, and engage in interactive activities like wand duels and Patronus activations. The design team has ensured that the experience stays true to the atmosphere of the films, creating an enchanting environment that celebrates the magic of the series.
While the experience is not affiliated with major theme parks, it offers Vancouver residents and visitors a chance to engage with the Wizarding World in a unique setting. The trail begins at the site of the closed Stanley Park Railway, which has been transformed into a vendor village offering themed treats and beverages, including the popular Butterbeer.
The ticket pricing for this immersive experience has sparked discussions on social media, with some expressing surprise at the costs. Current prices for entry range from C$86 for ages 13 and up for the earliest time slots to C$43 for later entries. St-Amant addressed these concerns, noting that the costs reflect the quality and scale of the event, similar to other attractions worldwide.
The experience will run until January 11, 2026, with tickets available for purchase online. Organizers recommend booking in advance due to expected high demand. The event not only fills a gap in Vancouver’s entertainment offerings but also underscores the city’s potential as a host for world-class attractions.
As the excitement builds, Vancouver’s Harry Potter experience is positioned to draw both local fans and tourists, marking a significant moment in the city’s cultural landscape. This immersive event highlights the enduring appeal of the Harry Potter franchise and its ability to enchant audiences, old and new alike.
