BILD Alberta Awards Finalists Announced for 2025 Gala

The Building Industry and Land Development Alberta Association (BILD Alberta) has unveiled the finalists for the 2025 BILD Alberta Awards, marking a significant moment for the province’s construction and design sectors. Scheduled for September 13, 2025, during the BILD Beyond Boundaries Conference in Banff, the awards celebrate excellence across various categories, including new home construction, renovation, and community development.
Scott Fash, CEO of BILD Alberta, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The BILD Alberta Awards highlight the incredible creativity, design, and innovation our members bring to every project.” This year’s selection process featured a panel of 100 industry professionals who assessed a record-breaking 430 submissions, narrowing them down to 126 finalists.
Finalists Showcase Diverse Projects
The finalists represent a broad spectrum from Alberta’s major cities, particularly Edmonton and Calgary. Projects from Edmonton received 33 nominations, while Calgary led with 74 nominations. Additionally, companies from smaller centres like Red Deer, Medicine Hat, Wainwright, and Lethbridge contributed to the competition, collectively earning 13 finalist positions.
In the development category, Genesis Land stands out with multiple nominations for its Lewiston project in Calgary, which includes recognitions for the community’s grand opening and its show home parade. Other contenders in the Best New Community category include Cantiro’s Alces project in Edmonton and Lamon Land’s Key Ranch in Calgary.
The Best Growing Community finalists feature Brookfield Residential’s The Orchards in Edmonton and the Alpine Park project in Calgary, alongside entries from Qualico Communities and Bordeaux Developments.
Renovation and Single-Family Categories Highlighted
Calgary-based firms dominated the renovation categories, with Rusch Design Build, Crafted Edge Homes, Melanson Homes and Renovations, and Reborn Renovations each receiving three nominations. Ultimate Renovations and Vicky’s Homes from Edmonton excelled with five nominations each, including recognition in the Renovator’s Choice category.
In single-family home categories, projects from Sorento Homes in Red Deer and Stranville Living Master Builder in Lethbridge showcased strong competition. Medicine Hat’s Wilde Homes also made an impressive showing with nominations for its Ridge and Millington projects.
In the multi-family segment, Logel Homes led the way with five nominations across four categories, while Jayman Built and StreetSide Developments each garnered four finalist positions. Brookfield Residential followed closely with three nominations.
Fash noted the significance of this year’s finalists, stating, “With Alberta experiencing another year of record housing starts, this year’s finalists demonstrate our industry’s unwavering commitment to delivering a wide range of housing options for all Albertans.”
The prestigious Pinnacle Awards will honor the industry’s most outstanding contributors in five categories: Small Volume Builder, Large Volume Builder, Multi-Family Builder, Renovator, and Developer. Winners will be recognized not only for their achievements but also for their leadership in design, safety, volunteerism, and customer satisfaction.
Last year’s Pinnacle Award winners included Jayman Built for both Large Volume Builder and Multi-Family Builder categories, while Ultimate Renovations was recognized as the Renovator Pinnacle Award winner. The Developer Pinnacle Award went to Brookfield Residential, and Colbray Homes earned the title of Small Volume Builder.
