The DeKalb Public Library will host an information booth for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) on September 8, providing residents the opportunity to learn about vital mental health resources. This free event is scheduled to take place from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the library’s main lobby, located at 309 Oak St.

Attendees will have the chance to meet with NAMI staff, who will share details about upcoming programs and events available in both Spanish and English. This initiative aims to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote community engagement with available resources.

No prior registration is required to attend the booth, making it accessible for all interested individuals. For further information, residents can reach out via email to [email protected] or call 815-756-9568, extension 2112.

Engagement with organizations like NAMI plays a crucial role in supporting mental health education and outreach, fostering a more informed and connected community.
