Marlene Leaney Remembered for Her Strength and Grace

Marlene Alice Leaney, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 3 after a courageous five-year battle with peritoneal cancer. Her passing marks a profound loss for her family and friends, who remember her strength and grace throughout her illness.
She is survived by her son, Doug Leaney, along with his family, her sister Brenda, brother-in-law Ted, and her loving partner, Joe Ramsay. Marlene’s ability to carry herself with dignity during her challenging journey has left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will take place at St Stephen’s United Church in Qualicum Beach on September 6 at 14:00. This event will offer an opportunity for friends and family to gather in remembrance and honor the legacy she leaves behind. Marlene Leaney will be deeply missed, but her spirit and influence will continue to resonate within her community.
