Central Alberta Humane Society Launches 2026 Pets ’n’ Poses Calendar
The Central Alberta Humane Society is welcoming the new year with the launch of its 2026 Pets ’n’ Poses Calendar, featuring heartwarming images of beloved pets from the community alongside shelter animals. This calendar not only celebrates the joy pets bring to families but also highlights the resilience of animals in need of homes, with proceeds supporting vital services at the society.
This year’s edition showcases a collection of photos submitted by enthusiastic pet owners across Central Alberta. Each month features a different pet personality, ranging from lively dogs and elegant cats to the charming quirks of various animals that enrich their families’ lives. The calendar also includes profiles of shelter animals, illustrating their journeys and the dedicated efforts made possible through community contributions.
Proceeds from the sale of the Pets ’n’ Poses Calendar will directly impact several essential shelter services, including:
– Over 550 surgeries and medical procedures conducted annually.
– Daily care for more than 100 animals housed in the shelter.
– Preparation of over 200 meals each day for the animals in care.
– Community support programs such as emergency boarding and a pet food bank, which distributed more than 6,750 kilograms of food last year.
“Every dollar helps ensure that animals receive the love, safety, and second chances they deserve,” stated the Central Alberta Humane Society in a public announcement.
The calendars are priced at $20 each, plus GST, and can be purchased at the Central Alberta Humane Society retail store located at 4505 77th St. The store operates Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00 and has extended hours on Sundays in December, opening from 09:00 to 16:00. In addition to the calendar, the retail store offers a variety of general pet supplies and unique items from local vendors, with all proceeds going toward the care of animals at the shelter.
The Central Alberta Humane Society is a charitable organization dedicated to assisting animals in need. It does not receive government funding and relies on donations from the community to provide compassionate care, medical treatment, and safe shelter. The society also promotes responsible pet ownership and supports families through various community programs, ensuring a positive impact on both pets and their owners.
