Century 21 Bamber Realty Marks 40 Years of Success in Calgary

Century 21 Bamber Realty is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Calgary, marking a significant milestone in the city’s real estate landscape. Founded in 1985 by George Bamber and his brother David, the firm has grown from a modest operation to a leading real estate agency with a reputation built on trust and integrity. Under George Bamber’s leadership, the company has achieved Grand Centurion status — the highest recognition for a Century 21 office in Canada — consistently since 2003.
This year, Century 21 Bamber Realty ranked No. 3 in Canada for units sold and No. 1 in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Bamber, who took over after buying out his brother, has played an instrumental role in the firm’s growth, expanding its team to 230 agents. His commitment to mentorship and professional development has attracted top-tier talent, reinforcing the agency’s position within the competitive real estate market.
Bamber’s journey began in Malta, where he was born while his father served in the British Royal Navy. After relocating to Canada post-World War II, his father established a successful travel business, paving the way for the Bamber brothers to enter the real estate industry. They started their venture with just seven agents under the Century 21 franchise, growing into a firm recognized for its excellence.
Expansion and New Opportunities
A key highlight of this anniversary year is the successful merger with Century 21 Elevate. This strategic move enhances the agency’s services and capabilities. The Elevate team, led by owners Andre and Tanya d’Abadie, will continue their legacy under Bamber’s leadership, with Andre focusing on Elevate Property Management. This merger allows agents with property management licenses to offer comprehensive services, further benefiting clients.
Bamber emphasizes the importance of fostering a dynamic team environment. “Our goal is to keep helping Albertans buy and sell their homes while fostering a dynamic team of professionals,” he stated. By pairing less experienced agents with seasoned professionals, the firm ensures that all agents receive the support necessary to thrive in the competitive market.
The merger also reflects the broader trends in the real estate industry, where consolidation is becoming more common as firms seek to expand their service offerings. Century 21 Bamber Realty’s growth trajectory demonstrates its adaptability and commitment to meeting client needs, solidifying its reputation as one of the world’s strongest real estate offices. With 14,000 offices in 85 countries, Century 21 continues to be a significant player in the global real estate market.
As Century 21 Bamber Realty celebrates its 40 years of excellence, the firm looks forward to continuing its legacy of outstanding service and community engagement in Calgary and beyond.
