CHEK to Livestream 2025 Remembrance Day Ceremony at B.C. Legislature
On November 11, 2025, CHEK News will broadcast live from the British Columbia legislature in Victoria for the province’s Remembrance Day ceremony. The coverage is set to commence at 10:30 a.m. local time, featuring both television and online platforms, including the CHEK News website, CHEK+, and the channel’s YouTube page. Veteran broadcaster Paul Haysom will anchor the event, ensuring viewers receive comprehensive coverage of the proceedings.
The main focus of the program will be the ceremony at the cenotaph in Victoria, though it will also include segments from a concurrent Remembrance Day event in Nanaimo. This dual coverage aims to honor those who have served and sacrificed, showcasing the significance of the day across different communities in British Columbia.
The official Remembrance Day parade and ceremony in Victoria will take place from approximately 10:30 a.m. until noon, allowing attendees to pay their respects and participate in the day’s commemorations. To facilitate the event, road closures will be implemented around the legislature from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Affected streets include Wharf Street, Humboldt Street, Government Street, and Belleville Street, ensuring a safe environment for participants and spectators alike.
For those wishing to attend, parking at city-owned parkades and on-street spaces will be free on Remembrance Day, providing easier access for the public to join in the commemorative activities.
As the community gathers to reflect on the sacrifices made by service members, CHEK News’s live broadcast aims to bring the ceremony to a wider audience, allowing individuals unable to attend in person to partake in the solemn observance of Remembrance Day.
Stay tuned to CHEK’s platforms to watch the live stream of the 2025 B.C. Remembrance Day ceremony, a moment of reflection and gratitude for those who have served.
