Community Remembers Robert ‘Kerry’ Bouckhuyt After Tragic Passing
Robert “Kerry” Bouckhuyt, a devoted family man and master carpenter, tragically passed away on July 24, 2025, while riding his motorcycle. He was 66 years old. Born on May 17, 1959, in Simcoe, Ontario, Kerry was the son of Robert Remie Bouckhuyt and Patricia Rose Bouckhuyt (née Earle).
Kerry’s family and friends are left to cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Karen Jane Bouckhuyt (née Ashmore-Falardeau), his mother, Patricia Rose Bouckhuyt, and his sister, Shelley Pettigrew (Robert). He was a proud father to three daughters: Sarah Bouckhuyt (Martin Gratton), Jennifer Bouckhuyt, and Rebecca Bouckhuyt. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his stepsons, Kevin Falardeau (Ashley née Lahey) and Blake Falardeau, along with his sons-in-law, Dave McWilliams and Cuong Bui.
Kerry was a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren: Kenzie, Lena, Cotter, Ella, Liam, Rosie, Colton, Ruby, and Gordon. His extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, will also remember him with great affection.
Kerry was not only known for his skilled craftsmanship but also for his vibrant storytelling ability. His friends and golf buddies will fondly recall the laughter and joy he brought to their gatherings. He lived life with passion, humor, and a spirit of generosity, leaving behind a wealth of cherished memories and stories.
Celebrations of Life Planned in Two Locations
To honor Kerry’s life, two celebrations will be held. The first will take place on September 24, 2025, at the Thirsty Moose Pub and Eatery, located at 20 Bridge Street, Carleton Place, from 16:00 to 00:00. The second celebration is scheduled for September 27, 2025, at Mo’s Family Restaurant, located at 467 Speers Rd., Oakville, from 13:00 to 17:00.
Kerry Bouckhuyt’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him, as they gather to celebrate a life full of love, laughter, and countless stories.
