Cranbrook Scouts Launch Annual Christmas Tree Pickup on January 10
The 4th Cranbrook Scouts are set to assist the community with their annual Christmas Tree Pickup event on Saturday, January 10, 2024. This initiative allows residents to dispose of their holiday trees conveniently while contributing to a meaningful cause that benefits local youth programming.
This community service is offered free of charge, with a suggested donation of between $10 and $20 appreciated to support the Scouts’ programs. Residents interested in participating are encouraged to register by emailing [email protected] or by contacting Scouter Brett Watson at (250) 420-1979. Trees should be placed outside homes for pickup no later than 9 a.m. on the day of the event.
Throughout the day, the Scouts will be collecting trees, ensuring a quick and efficient process for all involved. Proceeds from the event will directly fund youth-focused initiatives within the Cranbrook community. Every dollar raised goes towards programs that not only enrich the lives of local young people but also instill the importance of community service among the Scouts themselves.
Donations can be made in cash or cheque, securely attached to the tree, or through e-transfer to [email protected]. The support of the community is crucial to the continuation of these valuable programs for Cranbrook’s youth, making each contribution impactful.
This year’s Christmas Tree Pickup represents an opportunity for residents to declutter their homes while making a difference. By participating, they help foster a spirit of giving back, reinforcing the Scouts’ commitment to serving their community.
