Sustainability Tour at The Leaf

On Saturday, July 12, at 13:00, The Leaf at Assiniboine Park will offer a free, 30-minute sustainability tour. This guided experience will highlight the eco-friendly design elements that contribute to its LEED certification. Participants can learn about energy consumption, water management, and sustainable construction practices. Tours will begin in front of the Tannis M. Richardson Indoor Classroom and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission to the biomes is not required for participation.

Showcasing Car Culture

Also on July 12, the Driven Aftermarket Car Show will take place at Red River Exhibition Place from 13:00 to 19:00. As Canada’s largest touring car show, it will feature hundreds of modified vehicles, along with numerous exhibitors and automotive lifestyle brands. Car enthusiasts can expect to see custom builds, performance upgrades, and the latest aftermarket parts and accessories on display.

Following the car show, Manitoba Harness Racing will host an afternoon of standardbred harness racing at The LOOP, located within Red River Exhibition Park. Post time is scheduled for 13:00, and multiple races will take place throughout the afternoon. Admission to the races is free, with amenities including food vendors and shaded seating areas for spectators.

Free Admission at WAG–Qaumajuq

On Sunday, July 13, the Winnipeg Art Gallery–Qaumajuq will offer free admission from 11:00 to 17:00, courtesy of a partnership with Canada Life. Visitors can explore current exhibitions, including the Visible Vault of Inuit art, and participate in monthly Indigenous family programming. Free parking will be available at the Canada Life lot located behind 100 Osborne Street North, with street parking also free on Sundays.

Finale of the Winnipeg Folk Festival

The 50th edition of the Winnipeg Folk Festival will conclude on Sunday, July 13, with a full day of performances at Birds Hill Provincial Park. This final day will feature artists across multiple stages, artisan booths, and food trucks, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
