Young professionals in the Algoma region are invited to submit nominations for the ninth annual Algoma Visionary Awards. These awards recognize individuals who have demonstrated excellence in various fields, including career achievements, volunteerism, and mentoring. The awards ceremony will take place on January 16, 2024, at Grand Gardens.
The nomination process is open until 11:59 p.m. on December 10, 2023. Categories for nomination encompass a range of disciplines, such as arts, music and culture, public and social services, health sciences, leadership, entrepreneurship, and newcomer achievement.
The Strive Young Professionals Group and the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce are the key organizers behind this celebration of local talent and community contributions. This year, more than 15 nominees will be honoured for their significant impacts in their respective sectors.
For those interested in nominating a deserving candidate or learning more about the awards, further information is available on the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce‘s official website at ssmcoc.com. This event not only highlights the achievements of young professionals but also fosters a sense of community and support within the Algoma region.
As the nomination deadline approaches, community members are encouraged to identify and celebrate the individuals who have made a difference through their dedication and hard work.
