The Bourdages family of Sault Ste. Marie has welcomed their 24th child, marking a significant milestone in their family history. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bourdages, residing at 535 Northland Road, celebrated the birth on October 23, 1925. This growing family has garnered local attention, particularly when Mr. Bourdages won a prize for having the largest family during the Community Night parade two years prior.

While the details of the new arrival have not been disclosed, it is noteworthy that 15 of the Bourdages children are still living at home. The family has experienced their share of heartache, as a son, Joseph, tragically lost his life overseas during the Great War. The Bourdages family continues to be a prominent part of the community, exemplifying resilience and growth.

In other local news, progress on the Bellevue-Searchmont road is nearing completion. Although the route has seen horse-drawn vehicles make the journey from Searchmont to Sault Ste. Marie, there have been no cars traversing this stretch of road yet. The completion of this road is expected to enhance connectivity in the area.

As the Bourdages family expands, they remain a symbol of community spirit and family values, echoing the rich history of Sault Ste. Marie.
