Three Long-Standing Companies Honored as ‘Made in St. Charles’ Winners
Three established businesses in St. Charles, Illinois, are being recognized for their long-standing contributions to the community. The St. Charles Business Alliance has announced the honorees for its 2025 Made in St. Charles program: The Bike Rack, Dickey Manufacturing Company, and R.W. Rogers Company Inc.. Each of these companies has been a significant part of the local economy for over 50 years and will receive accolades during an awards ceremony at the St. Charles City Council meeting on November 17, 2025.
In a statement, Jenna Sawicki, executive director of the St. Charles Business Alliance, expressed the committee’s enthusiasm for the selected businesses. “As our committee went through potential selections for this year’s program, they found that these three businesses stood out thanks to their deep roots here in St. Charles, their exemplary products, and their continued success for over 50 years,” Sawicki stated.
Profiles of the Honored Businesses
The Bike Rack specializes in providing a range of bicycles, including adaptive models, along with biking gear and accessories. The staff’s passion for cycling is evident, making it a beloved destination for local biking enthusiasts.
Established in 1911, Dickey Manufacturing Company has a rich history of producing metal security seals, locks, and tamper-evident products. Originally focused on planished and black steel for steam engine locomotives, the company has evolved to meet modern security needs.
Lastly, R.W. Rogers Company Inc. supplies shopping carts, both new and used, throughout the Midwest and also manufactures handbaskets and merchandise displays. Their longevity in the market reflects their adaptability and commitment to quality.
Celebrating Local Manufacturing
The Made in St. Charles initiative was launched in 2022 to spotlight businesses that manufacture locally, thereby creating job opportunities and contributing to the area’s economic landscape. In the lead-up to the awards ceremony, profiles of each honoree will be showcased on the St. Charles Business Alliance’s social media platforms, highlighting their innovative contributions and community engagement.
This recognition not only honors the businesses but also reinforces the importance of supporting local enterprises that have stood the test of time. To learn more about the Made in St. Charles program and the featured businesses, visit stcalliance.org/stcmakers.
