Lethbridge Police Set to Host Third Annual Trunk or Treat Event
Families in Lethbridge will have the opportunity to participate in a popular Halloween event as the Lethbridge Police Service prepares for its third annual Trunk or Treat on October 31, 2025. This event offers a safe environment for children to enjoy trick-or-treating from decorated police vehicles, making it a fun and festive occasion for families.
The Trunk or Treat event is scheduled to take place from 17:00 to 19:00. According to Cst. Joel Running, one of the event organizers, the initiative has quickly become a cherished tradition within the community. “Trunk or Treat is quickly becoming one of our favourite traditions,” he stated. “We love meeting the kids and their families, especially when they’re so excited to show us their costumes and get some candy.”
This year, the Lethbridge Police Service has expanded the event by adding a third location, allowing more families to participate. The event is designed primarily for families with younger children, but all youth are welcome to attend. “We’re also thrilled that we have so many willing volunteers this year,” Cst. Running added, highlighting the community support that makes the event possible.
Trunk or Treat aims to create a welcoming atmosphere where families can celebrate Halloween safely. Decorated police vehicles will line up at the designated locations, each offering treats to children as they move from trunk to trunk. The event not only provides a fun experience but also fosters a sense of community engagement between local law enforcement and residents.
As October 31 approaches, excitement is building among families in Lethbridge, ensuring that this year’s Trunk or Treat will be a memorable occasion. The Lethbridge Police Service encourages community members to come out and enjoy the festivities, reinforcing the importance of safety during Halloween celebrations.
