Bryce Young Leaves Game with Ankle Injury Against Jets
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will not return to the field after sustaining an ankle injury during the game against the New York Jets on September 24, 2023. The injury occurred late in the third quarter when Young was sacked by Jowon Briggs, who made contact with the quarterback’s ankle. Following the incident, Young exited to the locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the match.
At the time of his departure, Young had completed 15 of 25 pass attempts for a total of 138 yards and one touchdown. His performance contributed to the Panthers leading the Jets 13-3 as they sought their third consecutive victory, a feat they had not achieved since winning their first three games of the 2021 season.
The loss of Young is significant for the Panthers, who selected him as the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. His performance in previous games had shown promise, and this injury raises concerns about his availability in upcoming matches. The Panthers are now faced with the challenge of adjusting their game plan without their starting quarterback.
In a season where the Panthers are working to build momentum, Young’s absence could impact their efforts to secure a stronger position in the league. The team will be closely monitoring his recovery process in the days ahead, hoping for a swift return to action.
As the Panthers continue their campaign, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the team adapts in the wake of Young’s injury and whether they can maintain their current form.
