The Chicago Bears faced notable absences during Thursday’s practice, as wide receiver Rome Odunze and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson were both sidelined. Odunze is dealing with a foot injury, while Stevenson is managing a hip issue. This absence comes a day after the team indicated in an estimated report that both players would likely miss practice.

Stevenson was already ruled out for the upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, while Odunze has not participated in practice this week. The Bears also reported that left guard Joe Thuney was absent for rest purposes, along with rookie linebacker Ruben Hyppolite, who is nursing a shoulder injury.

Injury Updates and Positive News

Despite the setbacks, the Bears received encouraging news regarding their linebacking unit. Linebacker T.J. Edwards, who has been dealing with hamstring and hand injuries, was limited in practice for the second consecutive day. Noah Sewell, another linebacker, participated fully after previously being limited due to an elbow issue. The team will be closely monitoring both players as they prepare for the game on Friday.

In a positive turn, rookie running back Kyle Monangai improved to a limited status in practice after missing Wednesday’s session due to an ankle injury. Defensive tackle Andrew Billings and cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Dominique Robinson were full participants for the second day in a row, providing some much-needed depth for the Bears.

As the team gears up for their matchup against the Eagles, the status of these key players will be critical in determining Chicago’s game plan. The Bears will be hoping to see a return to full health for their roster as they approach this important game.
