A World of Keflings Returns: Steam Release After 13 Years
NinjaBee has officially launched its beloved city-building game, A World of Keflings, on Steam after more than a decade since its original release in 2010. The game, a sequel to A Kingdom for Keflings, is priced at $11.99, €11.79, and £9.99. To celebrate its arrival on the platform, players can enjoy a 10% discount during the first week.
The game’s original designer, Steve Taylor, expressed enthusiasm about the release, stating, “For years, fans of the original game have been asking for a Steam release, and it’s a joy for us to finally deliver!” This release caters to both new players and returning fans, providing a nostalgic yet fresh experience.
Exploring the Whimsical World
In A World of Keflings, players assume the role of a friendly giant assisting tiny Keflings in building their kingdoms. The game stands out for its engaging and relaxed gameplay, devoid of enemies, timers, or any pressure. Players can leisurely craft detailed cities, gather resources, and explore three distinct worlds, each presenting unique challenges, vibrant characters, and whimsical stories.
The game incorporates a variety of quests and hidden secrets, along with a diverse selection of blueprints to unlock. Tasks can range from rescuing princesses to befriending dragons and aiding witches, allowing players to progress at their own pace.
The experience is further enhanced by an online co-op mode that accommodates up to eight players. This feature enables friends to collaborate in building, complete tasks, and explore each other’s creations. Additionally, players can communicate through a collection of up to 40 animated emotes, adding a social dimension to the gameplay.
Appeal and Reception
With its lighthearted storytelling and creative building mechanics, A World of Keflings has garnered a loyal following. It offers a perfect blend of charm and relaxation, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a laid-back gaming experience.
As this beloved title makes its return to the gaming community, it signals a positive trend in reviving classic games for modern platforms. The launch on Steam not only meets long-standing demand from fans but also introduces the enchanting world of Keflings to a new audience, ensuring its legacy continues.
