Bigme Launches B6 E-Reader with Android 14 for $169.99

Chinese technology company Bigme has introduced its latest e-reader, the Bigme B6, priced at $169.99. This device showcases significant advancements in e-reading technology, featuring a color display and running on the latest Android 14 operating system, both appealing to digital readers and tech enthusiasts.
The Bigme B6 is equipped with a 6-inch Kaleido 3 color e-paper display, providing a resolution of 300 PPI for black and white content and 150 PPI for color. This ensures that text appears sharp and images are vibrant while remaining easy on the eyes, making it suitable for long reading sessions. The screen design features a flush surface with glass protection, enhancing durability.
Under the hood, the B6 boasts an octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. For users requiring additional space, the device supports an external 1 TB SD card, accommodating extensive libraries of audiobooks, comics, e-books, graphic novels, and PDF files. The device also includes a microphone, HIFI speakers, and connectivity options such as WIFI and Bluetooth 5.1.
The B6 is powered by a 2,100 mAh battery, which contributes to its lightweight design at just 176 grams. This combination of features makes it a competitive option in the e-reader market.
Enhanced Features and Accessibility
One of the standout features of the Bigme B6 is its access to Google Play, which comes pre-installed. This allows users to download millions of apps—both free and paid—further enhancing the device’s functionality. Additionally, the e-reader offers four different screen refresh modes tailored for various activities, including reading text, browsing the web, and watching videos.
The Bigme B6 is available in three colors: black, white, and green, with a selection of protective cases offered in blue, green, purple, pink, and grey. This variety allows users to personalize their devices according to their style preferences.
The Bigme B6 is currently available for purchase on the company’s official e-commerce platform and through Amazon, where it is advisable to buy due to potential challenges with returns when purchasing directly. The combination of advanced technology and user-friendly features positions the Bigme B6 as a compelling choice for avid readers and casual users alike.
