Indie Developer Mike Klubnika Unveils Psychological Horror Game s.p.l.i.t
Mike Klubnika, the solo developer behind the acclaimed indie horror title Buckshot Roulette, has launched his latest project, s.p.l.i.t. This new psychological horror game is now available on Steam for Windows, SteamOS, and Linux. Priced at $2.99 (€2.99/£2.49), the game offers a 15% discount during its launch week.
Designed to deliver a complete experience in approximately 90 minutes, s.p.l.i.t immerses players in a tense narrative centered around cybercrime. The game follows a hacker who seeks to penetrate a powerful and unethical superstructure, aiming to execute a high-stakes malware attack. Players engage with the game through keyboard-driven interactions and terminal-based puzzles, heightening the sense of urgency as the story unfolds with each command.
Klubnika’s signature style is prominent throughout the game, characterized by lo-fi visuals and dystopian themes. The minimalistic design fosters an atmosphere filled with anxiety and dread. Every facet, from the unsettling interface to the oppressive soundscape, is crafted to envelop players in a chilling reality where tension escalates progressively.
Within the digital landscape of s.p.l.i.t, players will encounter more than just coding challenges. The game conceals dark secrets, legacy systems, and a mission whose impacts may linger long after the final screen fades.
Accompanying the game’s launch is an original soundtrack, composed and produced by Klubnika himself, with mastering by Crisp. This score features nine tracks of industrial ambient electronica, available on platforms such as Bandcamp, YouTube, iTunes, and Spotify.
As Klubnika continues to push the boundaries of indie horror gaming with s.p.l.i.t, players can expect a deeply immersive experience that lingers in both the mind and the shadows of the digital world.
