Jeep Unveils Willys ‘41 Trim for 2026 Gladiator, Honoring Military Roots
Jeep has introduced the Willys ’41 trim for its 2026 Gladiator pickup, showcasing a design that pays homage to military heritage. This new edition features a blend of rugged styling and modern capabilities, making it a standout option for enthusiasts of both retro aesthetics and off-road performance. Priced at $62,995, the Willys ’41 is available for order now from dealerships.
The Willys ’41 draws inspiration from the original Kaiser M715 military truck, incorporating several stylistic elements that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The most striking feature is the 17-inch Olive Drab wheels, designed to resemble classic steel wheels from earlier eras. These wheels are paired with all-terrain tires, enhancing both the vehicle’s look and its off-road capabilities. The distinctive color scheme and rugged design create a cohesive appearance that appeals to fans of the Jeep brand.
Distinctive Features and Interior Design
In addition to the eye-catching wheels, the Willys ’41 comes equipped with steel front and rear bumpers, a grille guard sourced from Mopar, and a scooped hood derived from the Mojave trim. This combination not only reinforces its military-inspired design but also enhances its functionality on challenging terrains.
Inside, the Willys ’41 continues the theme with unique tan seat inserts and a mid-bolster wrapped in a vibrant Mantis Green. These interior elements provide a modern touch while maintaining a connection to Jeep’s storied past.
The Gladiator lineup for 2026 is also expanding with additional features. The base Sport S model now offers the option for more aggressive all-terrain tires, catering to customers who often modify their vehicles shortly after purchase. This reflects Jeep’s understanding of its customer base, who seek enhanced performance right from the dealer lot.
New Color Options and Market Position
For the upcoming model year, Jeep is introducing two new color options: Reign, a rich purple, and Goldilocks, which adds a light-hearted touch to the lineup. The latter’s name showcases a sense of humor within the Stellantis branding team, adding a playful element to the vehicle’s marketing.
The Gladiator remains a unique offering in the pickup market, allowing drivers the freedom to remove doors and roof while providing an open cargo bed. With the capability to tow up to 7,700 pounds, it stands out as a versatile choice for both adventure seekers and practical users.
As Jeep moves forward with its 2026 model range, the Willys ’41 trim emphasizes the brand’s commitment to combining heritage-inspired design with contemporary performance. With its military roots and rugged features, it is poised to capture the interest of both dedicated Jeep fans and new customers alike.
