KF Aerospace Opens Doors for Career Fair in Kelowna
KF Aerospace, the largest private employer in Kelowna, is set to host a career fair and open house on September 24 at its headquarters located near the airport. This event will provide an opportunity for the public to gain insight into the operations of the company and to meet its employees, as well as connect with the recruitment team.
According to Annie Downie, the human resources director at KF Aerospace, “If you are curious about KF Aerospace, this is an excellent opportunity to peek inside our operations, meet our people and connect with our recruitment team.” The facility spans an impressive 400,000 square feet and employs around 800 staff across various stages of their careers and disciplines.
The career fair will feature entry-level positions that include on-the-job training and potential career advancement opportunities. Positions available range from aircraft painting and hangar support to materials coordination. This initiative reflects KF Aerospace’s commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace and supporting the professional growth of its employees.
In a collaborative effort, Okanagan College will also participate in the open house, introducing prospective students to its aircraft maintenance programs, which encompass mechanical and structures training. This partnership highlights the importance of education and skill development in the aviation sector.
Celebrating its 55th year of operation, KF Aerospace has established itself as a leader in providing innovative aircraft solutions for corporate, commercial, and military customers on a global scale. The open house will run from 15:00 to 18:30 at 5650 Aerospace Drive, welcoming individuals interested in exploring a career in this dynamic industry.
