LEGO Builder Creates Stunning Scott Pilgrim Diorama for Fans
A new LEGO diorama inspired by the cult classic film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World showcases the iconic showdown between Scott and his seventh evil ex, Gideon Graves. Created by a talented builder known as ComicMischief, this detailed model contains over 1,000 pieces and captures the film’s unique blend of comic book visuals and video game aesthetics.
The diorama recreates the climactic moment when Scott realizes that he is not just fighting for Ramona, but for himself, highlighted by the printed tile featuring the line, “No, I want to fight you for me.” The pyramid structure, a central feature of the build, is adorned in striking black and red colors, effectively mirroring the film’s dramatic battle venue.
At the summit of the pyramid, Scott and Gideon face off, wielding transparent swords that evoke the video game power-up look central to the movie’s charm. Below them, Ramona Flowers is depicted mid-leap, her recognizable blue hair rendered in minifigure form. The model incorporates movable text bubbles displaying phrases like “BAD!” and “2 Player Mode,” allowing fans to recreate dynamic scenes from the film.
The left side of the diorama pays homage to the film’s music, featuring a removable band platform where Kim Pine plays drums, joined by Stephen Stills on guitar. This setup allows Scott to join the band in moments when he is not fighting his foes. The creator has included custom accessories, such as guitars, Kim’s drumsticks, and even garlic bread, reflecting Scott’s quirky obsessions.
The minifigure lineup consists of all the essential characters, including Scott, Ramona, Gideon, Kim, Stephen, and Knives Chau. Each figure is designed with care, capturing the distinctive styles from the film. The base of the pyramid not only supports the structure but also serves as storage for accessories, keeping the pieces organized and easily accessible.
This creation stands out not just as a model of a beloved film but also as a tribute to its visual style. The 1,000-piece count positions it as a mid-range LEGO set, striking a balance between impressive display and affordability. To become an official LEGO set, the diorama requires votes on the LEGO Ideas platform. Fans of Scott Pilgrim and its journey to defeat the League of Evil Exes are encouraged to support this project.
With its attention to detail and vibrant representation of the film’s iconic moments, this LEGO diorama resonates with fans, capturing the essence of Edgar Wright’s innovative adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novels. As the film continues to gain cult status since its initial release in 2010, this LEGO build serves as a reminder of its impact on cinema and pop culture.
