Nintendo is set to enhance its Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack service by introducing the beloved title Luigi’s Mansion on October 30. This classic adventure originally debuted alongside the GameCube in November 2001. Players will have the opportunity to guide Luigi, the timid brother of Mario, as he explores a mysterious mansion he unexpectedly inherits. With support from Professor E. Gadd and equipped with the ghost-catching device known as the Poltergust 3000, Luigi will confront and capture the mischievous spirits haunting the mansion’s many rooms.

This release marks the sixth GameCube title added to the Switch Online service. The collection initially launched with three games: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, and SoulCalibur II. Nintendo subsequently expanded the lineup by adding Super Mario Strikers in July and Chibi-Robo in August. The company has announced that more GameCube classics will follow, including Super Mario Sunshine, Pokémon Colosseum, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, although specific release dates for these titles have yet to be confirmed.

Subscription Benefits and Pricing

The GameCube collection is a key feature for subscribers of the Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack, which offers additional perks. Subscribers can also download upgrade packs for both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom at no extra cost.

Nintendo provides its base Switch Online service for $20 per year, while the Expansion Pack subscription is available for $50 annually. A family plan, covering up to eight Nintendo Accounts across various systems, is also offered at $80.

With the continuous addition of classic titles, Nintendo is encouraging both long-time fans and newcomers to revisit these nostalgic adventures on modern hardware. The upcoming release of Luigi’s Mansion just in time for Halloween adds an exciting touch to this growing collection, ensuring that players have a festive gaming option as the season approaches.
