POET Technologies Inc., a pioneer in optical engines and light sources for artificial intelligence (AI), will showcase its latest innovations at the 2025 China International Optoelectronic Expo (CIOE). The event is set to take place from September 10 to 12, 2025, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. The company plans to conduct live demonstrations of its advanced optical products aimed at enhancing AI scale-up networks and hyperscale data centers.

Among the highlights at CIOE 2025 will be two significant demonstrations featuring POET’s Optical Interposer technology. This platform is designed to improve cost efficiency and scalability while delivering high-performance solutions tailored to the evolving demands of AI and cloud computing.

In addition to the product demonstrations, Dr. Mo Jinyu, POET’s Senior Vice President of Global Product Development, will present at the International Forum on Optical Communications (IFOC 2025) on September 9, 2025. Her talk, titled “An Advanced Photonic Integration Platform for Next-Generation AI Computing and High-Speed Data Center Interconnects,” will delve into how the Optical Interposer technology meets the increasing connectivity demands of modern AI systems.

Dr. Suresh Venkatesan, POET’s Executive Chairman and CEO, emphasized the importance of CIOE for the company, stating, “Our live demonstrations this year, combined with Dr. Mo’s presentation at IFOC, underscore the breadth of POET’s innovation in photonic integration.” He highlighted the role of POET’s advancements in providing cost-effective, high-bandwidth solutions critical for scaling AI systems and networks.

CIOE is renowned as the largest optoelectronics conference globally, expecting over 120,000 attendees from more than 30 countries. POET will be located at Hall 11, Booth 11A59, where its senior executive team will engage in meetings with customers and partners, reflecting the strong global interest in the company’s offerings.

POET Technologies focuses on delivering high-speed optical modules and engines, as well as light source products, specifically targeting the AI systems market and hyperscale data centers. The company’s solutions leverage the Optical Interposer platform, a patented technology that integrates electronic and photonic devices into a single chip using advanced semiconductor manufacturing techniques.

These Optical Interposer-based products promise to be more cost-effective and energy-efficient than competing technologies, while also offering scalability for high production volumes. POET’s portfolio includes optical engines exceeding speeds of 1.6 terabits per second, designed for AI clusters and large-scale data centers. Additionally, the company has developed innovative light source products aimed at enhancing data communication within and between AI servers, addressing critical bandwidth and latency challenges.

Beyond AI applications, the Optical Interposer platform also tackles device integration challenges in areas such as 5G mobile networks, machine-to-machine communication, and edge computing applications.

Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, POET has operations in Singapore, Shenzhen, and Malaysia. For further insights into POET’s participation at CIOE 2025, a video interview with Raju Kankipati, POET’s Chief Revenue Officer, is available on the company’s website.

As POET continues to push the boundaries of optical technology, its presence at CIOE 2025 underscores the company’s commitment to addressing the growing needs of the AI and cloud computing sectors.
