Samsung Resumes One UI 8 Rollout for Galaxy S24 and S23 Models
Samsung has resumed the rollout of its One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 smartphones. The update had been temporarily halted earlier this month without an official explanation, leading to speculation regarding the cause. Users can now access the update once again, beginning in South Korea, which suggests that it will soon be available in other regions as well.
The resumption of the One UI 8 update follows a brief pause that affected several models, including the popular Galaxy S23 series. Reports from technology analyst Tarun Vats confirm that the update is now live for both the Galaxy S24 and S23, with respective file sizes of approximately 396 MB and 385 MB. This rollout coincides with the October monthly update for these devices.
The One UI 8 was initially launched in July 2023 with the introduction of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip. Following its debut, the update gradually expanded to other devices, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. However, Samsung had to pause the rollout for various models due to unspecified issues. The company had previously halted the update for the Galaxy S23 just last week.
Looking ahead, Samsung is preparing for its next major user interface upgrade, One UI 8.5. While initial reports suggested that a beta version would be released in November, recent information indicates that this timeline may be shifting. The delay is rumored to be linked to changes in Samsung’s launch plans for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
As Samsung navigates these updates, users are encouraged to keep an eye on their devices for the latest features and improvements that come with One UI 8. The rollout’s return marks a significant step in restoring confidence among users who experienced disruptions in their software updates.
