Samsung Unveils CAD Renders for Galaxy S26 Pro, Details Emerge

Samsung has released new CAD-based renders for its upcoming Galaxy S26 Pro, showcasing a significant update in the company’s flagship smartphone lineup. This new model will replace the Galaxy S25, with the addition of a “Pro” designation indicating enhancements in both design and functionality. The Galaxy S26 Edge will also join the range, replacing the previous “Plus” version.
Design and Display Changes
The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to feature a larger display measuring approximately 6.3 inches. In terms of dimensions, the device will be around 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96 mm, making it taller and wider than the Galaxy S25, with a thinner profile. The design retains a flat frame, with rounded corners and a flat backplate, similar to its predecessor.
Notably, the rear camera layout has undergone a redesign. While both the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 will have three vertically aligned cameras, the camera island on the Pro model will adopt a pill-shaped design, differing from the protruding lenses found on the Galaxy S25. This allows for a sleeker appearance, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the smartphone.
Specifications and Performance Enhancements
In terms of performance, the Galaxy S26 Pro is anticipated to house the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, possibly with an overclocked version designed specifically for Samsung devices. There are also discussions about the potential inclusion of Samsung’s Exynos chip in select markets.
The device is rumored to come equipped with 16 GB of RAM, a notable increase from the 12 GB available in the Galaxy S25. Additionally, it is expected to feature a 4,300 mAh battery, which is an upgrade from the Galaxy S25’s 4,000 mAh battery. This enhancement aims to meet the demands of users seeking longer battery life.
Furthermore, the camera capabilities are set to improve significantly. The Galaxy S26 Pro will reportedly include a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a substantial upgrade from the 12-megapixel sensor found in its predecessor. Details regarding the main and telephoto cameras remain unconfirmed.
Samsung is also introducing built-in magnets for Qi2 charging, aligning with trends seen in devices from Apple and Google. This change may mean that features like reverse wireless charging, known as Wireless PowerShare, will be absent from this model.
The entire Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2024. As more details emerge, anticipation grows for the subsequent Galaxy S26 Ultra model, promising further innovations in Samsung’s flagship offerings.
