TECNO Unveils World’s Slimmest Phone and Laptop Duo at IFA 2025
TECNO has unveiled its latest innovations, showcasing what it claims to be the world’s thinnest smartphone and laptop duo at the International Funkausstellung (IFA) 2025 in Berlin. The company is highlighting the TECNO Slim smartphone and the TECNO MEGABOOK S14 laptop, both designed to appeal to consumers seeking lightweight and portable technology.
The TECNO Slim, formerly known as the TECNO Spark Slim, measures a mere 5.75mm thick and incorporates a substantial 5,200mAh battery while weighing only 146g. This impressive combination of slimness and battery capacity allows users to enjoy extended usage without the bulk typically associated with high-capacity devices. Although the phone was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress in March 2025, further details on its availability remain undisclosed.
TECNO is also making waves in the laptop market with its new MEGABOOK S14, which weighs just 899g, placing it below 2lbs. This lightweight design sets it apart from competitors, such as the LG Gram, which weighs approximately 997g or about 2.2lbs. The MEGABOOK S14 will be available in two configurations: one powered by the Snapdragon X Elite and another by the Intel Core Ultra 9. The Intel variant is expected to be slightly thicker due to the additional cooling requirements.
Innovative Design and Performance
The MEGABOOK S14 promises a thickness of around 6mm, making it one of the slimmest laptops on the market. Currently, the HP Spectre 13 holds the title for the world’s thinnest laptop at 10.4mm, which the TECNO model surpasses by nearly 5mm. This significant reduction in thickness is a result of advanced engineering and design focused on maximizing portability without sacrificing performance.
Both devices will be on display at IFA, where TECNO plans to showcase its entire product lineup, including the TECNO MEGAPAD Pro, TECNO TRUE 2 AI TWS, and TECNO Watch GT AI smartwatch. This event marks an important opportunity for TECNO to position itself as a leader in the competitive technology market, emphasizing innovation in form factor and user experience.
With the increasing demand for slim and powerful devices, TECNO’s introduction of the Slim and MEGABOOK S14 highlights a shift in consumer preferences towards lightweight technology solutions. As the company prepares for its exhibition in Berlin, many are eager to see how these products will resonate with tech enthusiasts and consumers alike.
