Independent developer TomorrowHead Studio has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming narrative puzzle adventure, WILL: Follow the Light. The trailer was showcased during the Future Games Show Live at Gamescom 2025, offering a glimpse into the immersive experience that awaits players.
Set in the stark beauty of the far north, WILL: Follow the Light follows a father’s quest to find his missing son. Players will navigate through fierce storms, frozen landscapes, and ancient ruins, piecing together fragments of the past that reveal Will’s story. The latest trailer highlights not only striking new environments but also introduces fresh traversal mechanics and puzzles, emphasizing the blend of emotional narrative and interactive challenges.
Playtest Sign-Ups Now Open
Alongside the trailer reveal, TomorrowHead Studio announced that closed playtests for WILL: Follow the Light will commence later this year. Players interested in participating can now sign up for early access to select parts of the game. This initiative allows participants to explore the game world prior to its official release and provide valuable feedback to the developers.
“We’ve been blown away by the support since our gameplay reveal in March,” said Roman Novikov, Founder and Game Director at TomorrowHead Studio. “Now we’re excited to take the next step — opening the doors for players to join us in testing key parts of the experience and help shape the journey ahead.”
With its haunting setting and focus on emotional storytelling, WILL: Follow the Light is poised to be a standout title in the narrative-driven adventure genre. As anticipation builds towards its release, the opportunity for players to engage in playtesting marks a significant step in the game’s development, promising an experience that resonates deeply with its audience.
