Tower of God: New World Marks 2.5th Anniversary with Major Update

Netmarble, a prominent developer and publisher of high-quality games, has announced a significant update for its collectible RPG, Tower of God: New World, in celebration of the game’s 2.5th anniversary. This update, which introduces new content, events, and gameplay features, aims to enhance the player experience and engage the community with exciting rewards.

New Character and Special Events

The highlight of this milestone update is the introduction of the new character, SSR+ [Fortune Teller Witch] Soo-oh. A veteran Ranker and a long-time ally of Khel Hellam, Soo-oh has been an influential figure since the era of the Hidden Grove. Her unique abilities, which revolve around songpyeon and the Blue Jade Fish, significantly increase team attack power, especially when paired with Blue Element teammates. The effects of her skills can scale up to twice their base power, depending on team composition, making her a valuable asset in strategic play.

To commemorate Soo-oh’s addition, players can participate in several themed events running until February 4, 2024. These events include a Special Summon, Check-In activities, Boost Missions, and the TapTap Plus event. Participation offers players the chance to earn SSR+ Soo-oh, along with Suspendiums and additional in-game rewards.

Anniversary Festival and New Gameplay Features

The 2.5th Anniversary Festival is set to take place from January 21 to February 18, 2024, during which players can complete daily missions to earn up to 900 Nonstop SSR+ tickets. Additionally, the Nonstop SSR+ Summon and the Celebration Special Check-In will provide players with increased opportunities to acquire and limit break powerful SSR+ teammates, enhancing their gameplay experience.

In addition to the character and events, the update reopens the “Anyway, Happy New Year!” Story Event until February 4, featuring exclusive stages and rewards that further enrich the game’s narrative. Moreover, new systems such as the Revolution Pot and the Shinsu Core growth system offer players greater strategic depth, allowing for more optimized team and battle performance.
