Unlock the Ultimate Badge in Peak: A Step-by-Step Guide

Players looking to enhance their gameplay experience in Peak can now unlock the coveted Ultimate Badge by completing a specific challenge. This badge stands out from the numerous others players collect, as it requires a unique task that can be achieved across various biomes. The challenge involves throwing a flying disc, commonly known as a frisbee, across a distance of 100 meters.
Steps to Achieve the Ultimate Badge
To successfully unlock the Ultimate Badge, players must first locate a flying disc. This disc can be found at the crash site in the Shore biome. Unlike other items, it is not located inside the plane but rather around its exterior. For optimal efficiency, players are advised to complete this challenge promptly, as the disc occupies an inventory slot that could otherwise hold more useful items.
While the Ultimate Badge can be earned in any biome, players will find it significantly easier in open areas, such as the mesa or the beginning of the tropics. These locations provide ample space to throw the frisbee without the risk of it falling off a cliff or getting caught in obstacles.
Once the disc is secured, players should position themselves at a distance of approximately 100 meters. The challenge is complicated by the fact that there is no in-game measurement tool to aid in determining this distance, making it largely a guessing game.
To execute the throw, players should aim carefully and hold the Q key to activate the power bar. Given the distance involved, a strong throw is necessary. After releasing the frisbee, teamwork is crucial, as both players must be positioned to catch the disc. If the achievement does not appear in the corner of the screen after the catch, it indicates that the distance may not have been sufficient.
Tips for Success
For those struggling with the challenge, attempting the throw from a flat surface is advisable. This avoids complications that can arise from inclines or obstacles such as vines and rocks. Should all else fail, players can opt to stand atop a mountain and throw the frisbee downward, though this method carries its own challenges if the catch is missed.
As players aim to unlock the Ultimate Badge, they should remember that both the thrower and catcher must participate in the successful catch for the achievement to register. Given the social and collaborative nature of Peak, this challenge encourages teamwork and communication among players.
By following these guidelines, players can enhance their experience in Peak and work towards unlocking the Ultimate Badge with relative ease. Keep striving, and may the throws be ever in your favor.
