UPDATE: A 3.6 magnitude earthquake struck near Port Renfrew on August 19, 2025, at 7:17 p.m. The tremor, felt lightly on southern Vancouver Island, occurred approximately 18 kilometers southeast of the town, at a depth of 35 kilometers.
