BREAKING: Aiden Wold of Somonauk finishes an impressive 8th at the Fran Noyes Invite, hosted by Genoa-Kingston at Swan Hills Golf Course. Wold scored 36 points using the Stableford Scoring System, showcasing his talent amidst fierce competition.

Somonauk’s team placed 9th out of 18 participating teams with a total of 103 points. Alongside Wold, Eli Werner and Isaac Risch contributed significantly with 23 points each. Preston Campbell and Alex Barnes added 17 and 10 points respectively, but the team will need to regroup for upcoming matches.

In a parallel event, Sandwich’s Kai Kern finished just behind Wold with 35 points, placing 11th. The Sandwich team ended up 10th overall, scoring 102 points. Following Kern’s lead were Nolan Oros and Kaden Clevenger, both at 23 points.

On the girls’ side, the Dale Donner Invitational at Manlius saw Seneca finishing 10th among 22 teams, scoring 244 points. Lily Mueller led her team with a notable 18th place finish out of 188 runners, clocking in at 20:30.4. Sandwich, finishing 11th with 270 points, had Karlee Henkins in 40th place at 21:37.9.

In boys’ soccer, Rock Island Alleman defeated Serena 3-0, dropping the Huskers’ record to 5-6-3. Meanwhile, the Sandwich Indians faced a tough loss against Oregon, falling by a score of 8-0.
