URGENT UPDATE: The 167th Annual Paris Fair has officially opened its gates for the Labour Day weekend, drawing in thousands of eager fairgoers despite the looming threat of rain. As of today, September 1, 2023, the fairgrounds are bustling with excitement, featuring attractions like monster trucks, motocross, farm animals, and thrilling carnival rides.

Organizers have confirmed that attendance continues to surge each year, with Brian Sayles, past fair president, expressing his enthusiasm: “We’ve got the midway here this year. This is the 50th year we’ve had Cambell Amusements, so that’s quite a feat… and the rides are bigger and better than ever.” The fair promises an experience comparable to the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.

Adding to the excitement, the fair will host live performances featuring popular country acts. The Hunter Brothers will perform on Saturday, while The Recklaws take the stage on Sunday. This weekend is set to be a highlight, drawing families and friends to celebrate together.

Families are already making memories at the fair. One parent shared their excitement: “I’m really excited for the carousel to take them on. It was my favourite ride when I was their age.” Another fairgoer expressed their thrill for the rides: “I’m a big rides girl… the freak out [ride] is my favourite.”

The Paris Fair is open throughout the long weekend, concluding on Monday, September 4, 2023. With so many attractions and live entertainment, the community atmosphere is vibrant, and attendees are encouraged to share their experiences.

Stay tuned for more updates as the weekend progresses, and don’t miss out on the fun at this iconic event!
