Belleville Police Launches Urgent Pajama Drive for Children
UPDATE: The Belleville Police Service has officially announced its participation in the urgent “Tammie’s Jammies” program, aimed at providing new pajamas to local children and families in need this holiday season. The drive kicked off on November 15 and will run until December 20, allowing community members to make a meaningful impact just in time for Christmas.
This initiative, coordinated in partnership with the Port Hope Police Service and Ganaraska Financial Credit Union, is crucial for ensuring that every child has something special to open on Christmas Eve. The community is encouraged to donate new pajamas of any size at the Belleville Police Service drop-off location.
“Every donation counts,” stated a Belleville Police spokesperson.
“We want to ensure that no child in our community goes without the joy of receiving a gift this holiday season.”
As the holiday season approaches, the demand for support is higher than ever. This program not only addresses the immediate needs of families but also fosters a sense of community spirit during a time that can be particularly challenging for some.
Community members are urged to act quickly as the deadline for donations is December 20. Pajamas can be dropped off at the Belleville Police Service, and your contribution could bring a smile to a child’s face during the holidays.
With the Children’s Foundation as the recipient of these donations, the Tammie’s Jammies program is set to deliver warmth and comfort to those who need it most.
Don’t miss your chance to make a difference! Share this urgent call for donations with your friends and family, and help spread the word about this vital community effort.
