Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We look forward to welcoming everyone to the fifth annual Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest and celebrating 150 years of community.” He emphasized the collaborative effort from the village’s team, sponsors, and volunteers to create a memorable experience.

The Food Truck Fest was conceptualized in 2021 by Lindy Casey, Bourbonnais’ Marketing & Community Engagement Director, as a response to the social isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. “It was a way to get the community together and celebrate,” Casey noted, reflecting on the festival’s origins. The inaugural event lasted just four hours and featured around 10 food trucks, despite initial rain.

This year’s event marks a significant growth in participation, showcasing the strong support from the local business community. “The business community has been a great supporter of the event,” Casey added.

With free admission and parking, the Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest is designed to be an accessible celebration for all. For more details, attendees can visit villageofbourbonnais.com.
