Bruce Grey Music Hall of Fame Unveils Class of 2025 Inductees

UPDATE: The Bruce Grey Music Hall of Fame has just announced its highly anticipated Class of 2025, featuring a diverse lineup of musical talent that spans the big band era to vintage rock ‘n’ roll. This year’s inductees include Max Clark, Steve Ritchie, Richard Knechtel, Ronnie and the Kool Kats, and the Lloyd Kibbler Orchestra.
This exciting announcement comes as the Hall gears up for its induction ceremony on September 14, 2025, at the Owen Sound Legion Memorial Auditorium. Tickets are available now for $25 at the Owen Sound Legion office and Bayshore Country Feeds.
The five inductees were selected from a competitive pool of 13 applicants, highlighting their significant contributions to music in the region. Max Clark, a renowned keyboard service provider, has a rich history of performing alongside legends such as Anne Murray and Johnny Cash. His work has made him a staple at local venues, including the Summerfolk festival and the historic Roxy Theatre.
Meanwhile, Steve Ritchie has made waves for over 20 years as a key member of the popular group Tanglefoot, touring internationally and captivating audiences across North America. His co-written song “Vimy,” performed at the 90th anniversary of Vimy Ridge, showcases his impactful contributions to Canadian music.
Adding to the mix, Richard Knechtel, a versatile musician and magician, has produced more than 20 recordings under the Greentree Music label and continues to perform up to 250 shows annually. His unique blend of music and magic has made him a beloved figure in local communities.
The Ronnie and the Kool Kats band, known for their energetic performances during the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll, remains a nostalgic favorite. Their reunion in 1999 for the OSCVI’s farewell event delighted fans and solidified their legacy in the region’s music history.
Lastly, the Lloyd Kibbler Orchestra stands out as one of Canada’s premier big band acts, having entertained audiences since the mid-1940s. Their reputation for replicating the sounds of iconic orchestras has left a lasting impact on the Southern Ontario music scene.
The induction event promises to be a memorable celebration, featuring live entertainment from Dave & the Retros and special guests. Attendees can expect a vibrant evening filled with music and nostalgia.
