Bruins Defeat Jets 6-3, Handing Winnipeg Third Straight Loss
URGENT UPDATE: The Boston Bruins triumphed over the Winnipeg Jets with a decisive 6-3 victory on December 11, 2025, marking the Jets’ third consecutive loss. The game unfolded at Canada Life Centre in front of just 13,158 fans, the smallest crowd of the season for the Jets.
David Pastrnak was the star of the night, scoring two goals and providing two assists, including a crucial setup for Elias Lindholm‘s insurance goal at the 14:43 mark of the third period. With just over two minutes left, Pastrnak sealed the game by scoring into an empty net.
The Bruins, now boasting a record of 19-13-0, took control early, netting three goals within just 2:44 in the first period. The Jets, who fell to 14-15-1, struggled to fend off the Bruins’ onslaught despite outshooting their opponents 29-24.
“They gamely tried to pull even with Boston throughout the game but just fell short,” a source reported.
Winnipeg’s efforts were highlighted by Gabe Vilardi, who scored a power-play goal in his 300th NHL game, bringing the score to 4-3 late in the second period. This goal marked the Jets’ first power-play conversion in eight games.
Key moments defined the match as Hampus Lindholm extended Boston’s lead to 4-2 with a powerful strike after capitalizing on a Pastrnak rebound. The Jets’ hopes flickered when Alex Iafallo scored a brilliant individual effort, reducing the deficit to 3-2 in the first period.
Despite their attempts, the Jets could not overcome the Bruins’ lead, as Boston’s solid defense and goaltending from Joonas Korpisalo, who stopped 26 shots, proved too formidable. The Bruins now look to continue their momentum against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Jets will attempt to break their losing streak when they host the Washington Capitals on Saturday. Fans and analysts alike are keen to see if they can turn their fortunes around in the next game.
