URGENT UPDATE: Calgary is set to experience a brisk start to the morning on Wednesday, with potential flurries lingering until 6 AM. Residents should prepare for a wind chill dipping to a biting -10°C, making it feel colder as they head out.

As the day progresses, conditions will improve slightly, featuring sunny breaks and calm winds. The temperature is expected to rise to a mild high of 1°C by the afternoon, offering some relief from the initial chill.

However, the weather is not finished with Calgary just yet. Forecasts indicate a small chance of flurries early on Thursday, but the real weather event to watch for is on Friday. Meteorologists predict a return of winter-like conditions, with 1 to 3 centimetres of snow likely, reminiscent of the snowfall seen on Tuesday.

Saturday will bring a further drop in temperatures, solidifying the colder weather pattern that is settling in.
